Is it open to the public?
The facility is primarily used on a per-rental basis. The St. Joe’s Sports Dome is open weekdays at 7:00am and weekends at 8:00am until the last scheduled event. For questions about open use times please contact us at 734-462-7905.
Is the space available to rent?
The St. Joe’s Sports Dome indoor field, outdoor field, volleyball courts and training space can be rented for various rates depending on the day or time. For more information about rentals and availability, please contact the Recreation Department’s Business Office Manager at 734-462-4327.
Can we bring in outside food?
Outside food is not permitted inside the St. Joe’s Sports Dome. The Ocelot Café provides healthy meal and snack options made fresh by the Schoolcraft College Culinary Arts Department.
Options include: protein packed smoothies, wraps, salads, oatmeal, fruit and veggie snack cups, pizza, coffee and more!
Café Hours: Monday-Friday 4:30-8:00 pm; Saturday & Sunday vary based on booked events.
What sports/activities can be hosted at the St. Joe’s Sports Dome?
We have hosted numerous tournaments, practices, tryouts and games at the St. Joe’s Sports Dome.
Activities include but are not limited to: Soccer, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Football, Rugby, Softball, Baseball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Track and Field/Cross Country. Please reach out to us for your scheduling needs!
Can I golf at the St. Joe’s Sports Dome?
The St. Joe’s Sports Dome is not an open golf center. There is a Golf Dome located near the St. Joe’s Sports Dome on 5 Mile just east of Haggerty Rd. in Plymouth.
What type of shoes can I wear inside the St. Joe’s Sports Dome?
Depending on the activity, we ask that no metal cleats be used on the indoor field of the St. Joe’s Sports Dome. Other cleats, turf shoes and tennis shoes are appropriate for use. For further questions, please contact the team/organization renting the space.
No cleats of any kind are permitted on the volleyball courts.
Are pets allowed?
No animals are allowed inside the St. Joe’s Sports Dome or on the outdoor turf. Only trained service animals are permitted.
